A
genuine imagination is at work in the pages of these two pictorial symphonies.
Huber works with the palette of his contemporaries but his music has
about it far more drama than Raff or Rubinstein. ...

[23.47] Antonin DVORAK (1841-1904)
Symphony No. 6 in D major, Op. 60 [45.54]
Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rafael Kubelik. Recorded
in the Herkulessaal, Munich on 16 October, 1981

An
extremely satisfying and idiomatic performance and since the Janacek
coupling is also very successful this is a highly desirable issue.

Recorded in November 2000 and in February 2001
DA CAPO 8.224167 [65.12] [GH]
Leif
Kayser can lay claim to having been the most prolific Danish composer
of organ music in the 20th Century. Church Panes is impressive … definitely
not of the holy minimalist variety.

The
melodies and motifs are quite moving and the music sweeps along – Lecocq

and why sheet music sales of dance arrangements sold so well.
