Commentary
I have not heard this bootleg album. It is out-of-print and very
difficult to find. According to the AMG, the quality of the recording
is very poor.
Many of the same personnel recorded a studio album after the festival.
It is titled Gil Fuller and the Monterey Jazz Festival Orchestra featuring
Dizzy Gillespie (Pacific Jazz 93). The only track common to both the
Pacific Jazz LP and the Moon bootleg is "Angel City." Sadly,
Hutcherson did not participate in the studio recording.
