The album contains tracks, the majority of which were recorded on different nights in different countries. Just why the company chose to do this instead of recording one performance in its entirety escapes me. He must have been a good candidate for a live DVD release however because the atmosphere at all of these different concerts sounds electric.

Junior Wells was one of the ‘leaders of the pack’ when it came to the ‘blues’ performance, I have never seen him, but according to the sleeve notes he had a magnificent stage presence. Whether he is rocking along to Got My Mojo Working or the more introspective in Help Me, he has the audience in his hands.

On the whole the album represents the best as far as blues groups are concerned, the framework of the music that they play is limited in a musical sense, but this does not prevent the presentation of a spectacular performance
