RUGGLES, Carl Sprague
b East Manon, Massachusetts, 11 March 1876
d Bennington, Vermont, 24 October 1971, aged ninety-five
He studied as a violinist, worked as an engraver for a Boston music publisher, and was a critic. He held various teaching posts, gained many awards and honours, and also spent much of his time painting.
