GLIERE, Reinhold Moritzovitch

d Moscow, 26 June 1956, aged eighty-one
He studied at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1913 he was a professor of composition at the Kiev Conservatory and in 1914 became its director. In 1920 he returned to the Moscow Conservatory as professor of composition.
