BRIDGE, Frank

d Eastbourne, 10 January 1941, aged sixty-one
He obtained a scholarship to the Royal College of Music, London, in 1899. In 1906 he joined the Joachim String Quartet as violinist, then the English String Quartet, remaining with them until 1915. Over this period he also did much conducting. In 1923 he visited the USA, as a conductor of his own music.
