80th Birthday Concert

A concert to celebrate Judith Bailey's 80th birthday was held in Truro Cathedral on 10 July 2021 under the auspices of the English Music Festival. The programme and artists were as follows:

JUDITH BAILEY: The Towers of San Gimignano
JUDITH BAILEY: Aquamarine Waltz for cello and piano
JUDITH BAILEY: Egloshayle Trio
PAUL CARR: Piano Quartet
JUDITH BAILEY: Light
HERBERT HOWELLS: Piano Quartet

Rupert Marshall-Luck violin
Jonathan Barritt viola
Joseph Spooner cello
Duncan Honeybourne piano

As a surprise for the composer, Duncan Honeybourne concluded the concert by playing the premiere of Essence of Cornwall and the performance can be seen via this page.

The picture above captures Judith's arrival at the concert to be greeted by Em-Marshall-Luck, Founder-Director of the English Music Festival. Some further pictures of the event are below.
