WILLIAMSON, Malcolm
b Sydney, 21 November 1931
At the age of eleven he entered the Sydney Conservatory to study piano and horn, and composition under Goossens. In 1953 he went to London to continue composition studies under Lutyens and Stein. In both Australia and the USA, which he regularly visits, he holds university fellowships. In 1975 he was appointed Master of the Queen's Music.
