SHAPERO, Harold
b Lynn, Massachusetts, 29 April 1920
He first studied at Malkin Conservatory in Boston, then under Piston and Krenek, at Harvard, and with Hindemith and Boulanger. He was professor at Brandeis University, and from 1970 to 1971 was composer-in-residence at the American Academy in Rome.
