SCHOECK, Othmar

d Zurich, 8 March 1957, aged seventy
His father was a painter. In 1905 he entered the Zurich Conservatory, then went to Leipzig to study with Reger from 1907 to 1908. He spent his life composing and conducting in Zurich until a heart complaint forced him to retire in 1944. He gained many honours.
