NONO, Luigi
b Venice, 29 January 1924
In 1941 he entered the Venice Conservatory, and attended Malipiero's composition classes from 1943 to 1945. He graduated in law from Padua University and became a member of the Italian Communist Party. In 1955 he married Schoenberg's daughter, Nuria. From 1954 to 1960 he explored electronics and taught at Darmstadt; and from 1959 onwards he has been in great demand as a teacher, lecturer, debater and writer.
