HOLBORNE, Anthony
d London 29 November 1602
The first recorded date for him is that of his marriage at St Margaret's, Westminster on 14 June 1584. His name occurs in various letters by other people, showing that his reputation was high, but there is little exact documentation available. About three-quarters of his output consists of dances that made him widely popular in his life-time, but he was not a major composer.
