This is a triple fold-out of the Bird of Paradise flower [Strelizia reginae].
I once grew one of these from seed. The seeds are very pretty having an orange tuft. I only managed to germinate one. It grew into a tall plant with large leaves the shape of banana leaves. I grew it in the porch of my house. It took 20 years to produce a single flower and it never flowered again. This is a William Curtis drawing.
