Today none of London and Wise’s designs survive on the ground - many were smoothed over by Capability Brown- but at Hanbury Hall original plans, maps, paintings and archeological and geophysical research were used to discover the scale and position of the original garden features as they were in 1701 and the parterre has been re-created.
