Thomas Creech was headmaster of Sherborne school and he added notes and commentary to this edition. In 1682 he was responsible for translating Lucretius into English for which he received a fellowship at Oxford. Omnium animarum socius means a member of All Souls College at Oxford. However the Charlecote copy has his commentary and notes only in Latin.
